We have to help Obama and Republicans with change - "We the People" are a vast majority
I agree with and voted for Obama but GW inherited 9/11 and Osama said later he did it to divide the USA and to destroy our economy. Simply because maybe GW wasn't best equipped to deal with those types of disasters doesn't mean he was a horrible president. He did pass good laws etc., including laws that helped minorities. Sometimes, maybe often, Republicans take care of the little guy quickly, like GW, and focus on corps because where does a large amount of $ that drives science, defense, education etc come from? Dems focus on the little guy and not because they are all bleeding hearts or socialists but like everyone focuses on even beauty in different ways, a sunset vs the ocean blue, we focus on aspects of this country that need support/fixing like a nurse, Dr., neighbor, parent, sibling etc. People have pet peeves and pet projects too, but we stuck together soon after 9/11 but it didn't take long to start fighting like Osama wanted. United we stand, divided we fall and even if not the whole forest, many trees will fall and have fallen. So who is going to hear a few trees falling in the forest if we're busy fighting? It's time we all cooperated, including us Dems and independents. I'm guilty of this too and don't remember how I got that way completely, but it's time to fix my issues so I can be of support rather than a boat anchor around a lifeguard's neck. Perhaps that peaceful assembly should be done together rather than segregating ourselves and serving as material, all sides, for the likes of Beck and Limbaugh. They're like dogs of war with half truths that hurt both sides and divide us further. Even if they believe even most or all of what they say, we do them no justice either by following blindly and willingly. The same goes for the far left and I'm not "better" but I want to live and prosper and this is the first step of many. If we look for ways to disagree or faults we'll find them and think of each other as obstacles. If we think of reasons to love each other and why "the other side" (of the same coin) deserves to be as happy as us, then we'll truly make progress. All of us.
